POSTSCRIPT
" PostScript is a computer language that describes how to print text and objects to different devices. It is referred to as (DEFINITION) a ‘page description language’ because (CAUSE) it defines the page to be printed rather than giving a set of instructions on what to print.
PostScript can scale any font or graphic to any size and is used on many laser printers and imagesetters. It is ‘device-independent’, that is (EXPLANATION), it is a language that allows computers from many different manufacturers to communicate with dirrerent output devices such as (EXAMPLE) printers, imagesetters, etc.- and enables computers to adjust the quality of the output to the highest resolution possible.
